The Speaker
The cult of personality has always been very strong in politics, both in totalitarian and democratic times. The trust of the voters is very often given to the personality of the politician. I wanted to show that empty rhetoric, speaking without saying anything, does not have to be believed in. This work tries to demystify politics and politicians. I have made a false political campaign, with a false politician shown on the back of a van. The politician talks and talks but there is no sound. We circulated through the city (Sarajevo) with the van, then stopped in the center and distributed false political flyers that said: “I love you,” “You love me,” and “Trust me.”
